Model AX17 Description
The Haws AX17 Freeze-Protected AXION® MSR Emergency Shower & Eye/Face Wash Retrofit Kit upgrades existing self-draining emergency equipment with advanced eye/face wash and showerhead technology. The system is designed to replace the eyewash and showerhead of Haws fixtures, as well as most existing freeze-protected emergency fixtures manufactured by Acorn®, Bradley®, Encon®, and Guardian®. Compatibility depends on the existing fixture’s connections, dimensions, and self-draining configuration.
The AXION® MSR eye/face wash head uses inverted directional laminar flow to sweep contaminants away from the vulnerable nasal cavity. The ABS plastic drench showerhead features a hydrodynamic design that distributes water evenly throughout the spray footprint. This combination addresses common performance concerns, including uneven shower coverage and eyewash streams that flow too high, too low, or uncomfortably.
Designed for compatible freeze-protected installations, the AX17 features connection plumbing that avoids trapping water during self-draining. Included installation tools and compliance information help installers evaluate the upgraded fixture and verify its performance after installation.
